As in my family, we all love the snow, so we decided to go sledding again, this time together with Ines’ family. The place called Bad Kohlgrub is located near the Alps. To get to the top, we decided to do some hiking. At first, I didn’t like the idea because we had to walk up around 1,400m, but it was worth it! The place was beautiful full of snow, and the views were amazing. After having eaten something and relaxing a little, we started the sledding adventure. It was a 4,5 km slope through...

As we were on holiday and didn´t have to go to school, we traveled to Köln to visit the Oma. Situated in the west of Germany, Köln is one of the five biggest cities, with 1,1 million inhabitants. However, we didn´t stay in the city of Köln itself but in a small town near Bonn, the former capital of West Germany.

It´s Ferien now, so we don´t have school for a week! As all the family was free, we decided to go to Zugspitze, the highest peak in Germany. It´s a 2962 meters mountain, so to get to the top, we had to take a train, characterized by its age of almost 100 years, and also we rode in a cable car. Once at the top, everything was stunning. From there, you could see Europe´s tallest mounts. There were also lots of people skiing and sledding. It was so cool! Now I can say I was at the top of...

Herrsching is a small village proximate to Gilching, founded on the Ammersee lake´s shore. It is a stunning place to walk around the lake and enjoy the extraordinary views. It is famous for its water sports. You can see plenty of people surfing, padel surfing, kitesurfing or swimming. There´s also the possibility of doing other sports since one can find football and volleyball courts nearby. On top of that, there are also a lot of restaurants and bars where you can have a meal pleased by the...

For those who are also fascinated by the cultural field, there are plenty of places where you can learn more about the history and customs of Munich´s past inhabitants. Museums, theatres, bars; everything hides a unique and surprising history.

This weekend we decided to make a day trip to Spitzingsee, a lake in southern Baviera close to Schliersee. We did´t go to the lake, but we went to some sledding slopes in the Alps instead. It consisted of a 2km slope from the top of the mountain to the base. We rented the sleighs so that we could use them the whole day. To go down, we walked the way up, which was exhausting but worth it! During our walk, we found a drift that led us to the middle of the alps, the most beautiful sight I´ve...

It´s surprising how such a simple thing as snow can make a person happy. The truth is that even though I can´t stand cold weather, I love snow. As a Spanish girl, I´d never experienced the feeling of walking through the streets with the snow hitting my face, nor had I ever seen the lanes covered with large quantities of snow. However, this changed when I arrived in Germany. Walks in the snow have become one of my favorites to do here. I really appreciate it when the family asks me to go on a...

Since I was little, I've always been a big fan of football. It´s something that I've inherited from my dad. I usually enjoy watching matches on TV or small teams playing in my hometown. I've never thought that one day I would be watching a team like Bayern de Munich playing, much less in a stadium like The Allianz arena. I was super excited! The place was huge and so stunning. I loved watching the match and some footballers I like. It´s an experience I will never forget. I'm really thankful...

During the weekend, my family usually suggests numerous activities to do together. I find it so sweet that they are always looking for different alternatives so that I don´t get bored. The fun never ends in Germany!

Trip to Schliersee
The "Orientierungstage" is a small trip typically made in German schools, destinated to improve the relationship between classmates, discuss recent topics, and especially enjoy. In my school, this trip takes place in a small village called Schliersee, near the Swish Alps. It's near a beautiful lake, surrounded by a lovely landscape. Fortunately, when I went, it was snowing and looked beautiful. We also visited some waterfalls and stunning views I enjoyed.
